Memory speed will be reduced as the number of modules installed increases. 1333MHz is supported with one DIMM per channel only using Xeon X55xx series. DDR3-1333 modules can automatically clock down to 1066MHz and 800MHz depending on module configuration or processor model installed. Please refer to the system manual for proper installation of DIMMs for Single, Dual, and Triple Channel configurations. Quad Rank modules do NOT support 1333Mhz using Xeon 5500 series. Memory upgrading is limited to 1066MHz with one DIMM per channel installed, 800MHz with two DIMMs per channel installed. System will NOT support more than two QR DIMMs per channel.
